Abstract :
This paper presents a 2D and 3D Magnetic Equivalent Circuit (MEC) of the flux focusing permanent magnet synchronous machine. The proposed model is based on reluctance mesh of the structure in order to have a high precision model and to take into account all leakage flux. The saturation effects and rotor motion are taking into account in the proposed model. The extension from 2D to 3D is detailed. The obtained results of 2D and 3D models are compared to finites elements model and validated by experimental measurements.
