Abstract :
Solving problems of high energy consuming by appliances in the smart home during peaks hours is very complicated. This is due to the impact of affecting the comfort of occupant. In this paper, a novel algorithm based on adaptive scheduling is proposed to reduce energy during peaks hours without affecting the comfort of occupant with easiest way of managing energy in the smart home. The proposed method will be explained and will be applied to a realistic example simulated on MATLAB/Simulink (R2013a “8.1.0.604”). It has the advantage to encourage occupants for two goals: reducing the Peak to Average Ratio (PAR) and reducing their electricity bill.
