  • Abstract
This paper studies a water and energy management strategy dedicated to an autonomous water desalination system fed by a hybrid (Photovoltaic (PV) and Wind) power generator without battery storage. RO technology is one of the most powerful processes used for desalination to provide fresh water. Accordingly, renewable energy can be used especially by means of hybrid (PV-wind) system. Taking into consideration the multidisciplinary and strongly coupled device from a systemic point of view, the system being considered as a whole. Inside this framework, the water/energy management of the global process has to be optimized in order to produce fresh water while considering the different system constraints with the given intermittent power.
