Abstract :
The study presented in this paper is focusing in an on sea oil wellhead located in vicinity of Zarzis region in Tunisia called ElBibane Field. The wellheads user is the Ecumed Petroleum which is oil and natural gas Company that is the Tunisian branch of Candax Energy Ltd. This work aims to perform the design of a wind-solar hybrid system for an on sea oil wellhead electrification. In this work a method was conducted for optimal sizing of PV and wind turbine generators with a battery storage bank. For a given load and energy based on the daily observation of the solar radiation data and the annual wind speed, the power output for each generator is investigated, and so the required number of generating units of wind turbine and photovoltaic modules and the associated storage capacity is computed. The data of solar radiation were estimated using web calculator `PVGIS´ and the annual average wind speed was given by web calculator `Windfinder´. To ensure a complete study of the hybrid system, the batteries charge controllers and the cross sections of the installation electrical cables between the system components were calculated.
