  • Abstract
    A brand new mini-size power measurement design based on USB interface is proposed. The process of microwave power measurement and the implementation of data communication based on USB interface are firstly discussed. Then the data transaction by USB interface using Slave FIFO mode is introduced. After data format definition of USBTMC specification and its subclass USBTMC-USB488 are fully discussed, the vivid implementation of USBTMC in DSP, USB firmware and the PC host is presented in great detail. That makes it´s possible that an instrument can bear the function of power measurement simply by plugging the device into the USB host interface.
