Abstract :
The Highways Agency are responsible for the motorways and major A roads in England. In 2011 The Highways Agency awarded a seven-year contract to operate and transform its National Traffic Information Service (NTIS). This paper will explore the learning from joint working with commercial service providers and operational partners, the improvements that have been developed by NTIS transformation as a result and the challenges that lie ahead.
