Abstract :
A fully integrated AC-DC regulator with high power conversion efficiency (PCE) is proposed in this paper. It combines the traditional rectifier and regulator together, which reduces the total output capacitance and improves the PCE. The AC-DC regulator outputs a clean DC voltage and achieves a simulated PCE of 80% at 13.56 MHz under conditions of a 1.8-vpp AC input with a 500-Ω load resistor. The circuit was implemented with 0.18-μm CMOS technology and 0.6-mm2 chip area was estimated.
