  • Abstract
    The Communication Based Train Control(CBTC) system performs a real-time train position report and the movement authority transmission through wireless communications networks between a Wayside Control Center(WCC) and Vehicle Onboard Computers(VOCs). And it has increasing effects of railway capacity by allowing the high-density train control through a high information transmission amount between the WCC and the VOC. Also, it reduces the maintenance cost because it does not use the existing track circuits. This paper deals with the procedures of the fault code including set/release for the emergency braking that occurs during driverless operation in the CBTC system. Also, the CBTC is being developed for application of train operation that driverless, auto, manual, emergency and yard mode operation are possible.
