Abstract :
This paper presents a programmable controller for an induction motor (7.5 kW) used in hydraulic pump of crane polyp. Crane polyp is controlled with wireless joystick beside the wired one. The proposed system has an Atmega328 microcontroller, MC3PHAC motor drive IC (integrated circuit), nRF24L01+ transceiver and some external components. The polyp control has been improved by the proposed system. The system components, the power module and drive circuits along with the algorithm developed are explained in details. Modernization of crane polyp has been achieved successfully and the prototype is supplied to the project partner company.
