Abstract :
Mobile Adhoc networks (MANET) are a group of mobile nodes that have the capability of maintaining a network without the need of centralized infrastructure. This concept has gained a lot of potential in various areas for data collection and data synchronization. Mobility and absence of any static network makes it very attractive for safety critical application. This paper discusses performance evaluation of Adhoc wireless Routing protocols when used with different Mobility Models to realize practical scenarios. In this paper we have evaluated the impact of varying speed of nodes to get the overall throughput of the network. We further observed the effect of throughput on changing the routing protocol, hence suggesting the best protocol for different speed ranges. Our proposed network can find application in various areas. The Simulation Environment used for this purpose is Network Simulator 3(ns-3). The use of ns-3 gives enough flexibility to optimize Quality of Service (QoS) parameters at each layer without any overhead.
