Abstract
In this paper a measurement method of antenna radiation patterns is presented and implemented. For this, it has been built an experimental mechanism that allows acquiring the radiation intensity in different angular positions, based on far-field measurement techniques and probabilistic analysis, which shows a good performance. This technique provides a fast and simple method for verifying antenna radiation patterns; software has been developed to perform this measurement procedure, allowing efficient determination of the components of electric and magnetic fields that form the pattern. In particular, in order to obtain the radiation pattern an example proposed, this one is based on Yagi-Uda antenna with six parasitic elements of variable length. The obtained experimental results were compared with two known theoretical models.
