Abstract :
This paper deals with the design of third generation CRONE controller for a spherical tank system. Mathematical model of spherical tank system is derived. Based on the real time parameters transfer function model is obtained for different operating regions. Worst case model is computed and it is used for the design of third generation CRONE controller. Simulation runs of servo and regulatory responses are recorded. The performance of third generation CRONE. Controller is compared with Ziegler Nichols (ZN)-Proportional Integral (PI) controller using time domain and integral error indices. It is observed that third generation CRONE controller may outperform the ZN-PI controller.
