Abstract :
In order to achieve power allocation between sub-carriers of cognitive users in OFDM system more conveniently and efficiently, a power allocation algorithm of cognitive radio based on artificial bee colony is proposed. A throughput formulation and its upper bound are first derived for cognitive users in OFDM system. Then, the power allocation problem is optimized by means of three bees cooperating in artificial colony algorithm and by making use of throughput as objective function. Finally, An OFDM system of analog TV band is used for performance analysis through computer simulation. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the upper bound is very approached by the throughput of the proposed algorithm in ideal conditions. At the same time, the realize complexity is reduced. So the proposed algorithm can be applied to the power allocation of cognitive radio efficiently.
