Abstract :
In this paper, we study the finite-time attitude regulation problem for multiple spacecraft formation under a direct communication topology. A distributed control algorithm using terminal sliding mode is proposed in the case that the attitude of the leader spacecraft is only available to a portion of following spacecraft. The attitude kinematics is modeled in terms of the Modified Rodrigues parameters(MRPs). The propose control algorithm can guarantee that the attitudes of the following spacecraft converge to the desired attitude and angular velocities converge to zero in finite time. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm.
