Abstract :
Cognitive radio (CR) is now playing an increasingly important role in information warfare because of its special abilities of cognition and reconfiguration. To jam CR signals more effectively and smartly, we need to get one of the key parameters-spectrum handoff duration. Spectrum handoff occurs usually when the primary users return in the licensed band or the CR user suffers a certain degree of interference. In this paper, we firstly propose a basic scheme to estimate spectrum handoff duration of CR user, of which the steps include coarse detection (broadband spectrum detection) and fine detection (the time-frequency of specified channels). Then, we propose the corresponding algorithms of the two steps, and perform simulation experiments. The simulation results show that the proposed method can accurately estimate the spectrum handoff duration and is easy for implementation.
