Abstract :
In this paper, the asymptotic expression of the critical buckling non-dimensional load of the cylindrical shell with initial modal axial symmetry imperfection under the axial loads is deduced by using Karman-Donnel Equation and then the safety margin equation of the critical buckling load is constructed. Furthermore, the influence of the modal axial symmetry initial imperfection on the structural buckling reliability is analyzed. The buckling reliability index is solved by used AFOSM (Advanced First-Order Second Moment) method. In the end, the influence on the structural buckling reliability index due to the change of imperfection is discussed through a numerical example.
