Abstract
The reliability assurance program has been used widely in advanced light water reactor nuclear power plant in recent years. The major target of the reliability assurance program is to ensure the nuclear power plant achieves the highest levels of safety, reliability and economy. The reliability assurance program includes design reliability assurance program (D-RAP) and operation reliability assurance program (O-RAP). However, it is difficult to implement the D-RAP as a result of the current limited conditions and some of the power plants under construction have entered a post-construction stage. Therefore, in order to integrate the reliability technology and the daily work of nuclear power plant, we research the O-RAP in this paper. The O-RAP applies to reliability assurance activities for the operating phase of the plant life cycle. The activities of O-RAP are integrated into existing operating programs (i.e., Maintenance Rule, surveillance testing, in-service inspection, in-service testing, maintenance, and quality assurance).
