Abstract :
The residual risk in the system is the primary contribution factor to system accidents. Operation safety management might not effectively control these incidents and their interaction as the operation in the progress. It´s necessary to establish a real time perception method and related models so that the impending time critical incident could be observed, recognized and responded timely. Therefore, this article presented the safety situation awareness and method, which focus on the problem of operation safety monitoring, knowledge discovering and warning requirements. Following a revised epidemiology accident theory, the safety management strategy is introduced. Next, the temporal patterns of incident trajectory is summarized which could promote the safety situation recognizing and reasoning. Emergency decision strategies should make a difference approach between impending situation and slow developing events. For the time critical situations, situation monitoring, early warning and immediate response is suggested. In the last part of this research, we proposed a conceptual framework for system safety awareness applications.
