Abstract
A risk index assessment model for assessing each regional risk of urban accident disasters is put forward; each regional risk is determined by the accident hazard, elements at risk, and vulnerability. The weight of each risk indicator is obtained by using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, the accident disasters risk of each region is calculated by the model, and the risk of each region can be sorted. Taking the Guangzhou City as an example, the model has been applied for assessing the risk of each region, and it can be found to comply with urban accident disasters risk reality.
