Future of education: Academic or professional doctorate

Since a long time ago, we are aspiring after a new type of professional doctorate program, a program which does not exist yet. “It should be the first duty of a school for life to help a young person build up an `intelligence profile´” [1]. We were already both victims and beneficiaries of the current `successor education´. “Our place, as human beings, is somewhere in the middle. We cannot fall captive to the rational, explainable homo economicus, nor can we completely give way to our animal spirits” [2]. It´s high time to set up a professional doctorate program where not the `mechanized homo economicus´ but the `humanized human´ is in the center of education.
