Abstract :
The paper presents a part of results a broad scale research which one of the aims was to evaluate current state and perspectives of information education carried out within the higher education study programs in economy and management. The purpose of the research is to contribute to solving the issues of modernisation and innovation of the informatics preparation of the relevant tertiary study programs graduates, considering the curricula content and its interconnection with the practice and labour market requirements regarding the graduates´ knowledge and skills in informatics area. Main attention of the research is paid to the issues of teaching database systems and technologies. In this paper there is presented statistical analysis and interpretation of the research data obtained within a survey area named What I would like to learn.
