  • Abstract
    Nowadays, DC motor has been used as an indispensable part of the industrial applications, because of its convenience such as small size, high speed, low construction cost, safety operating... One of the major areas of research that is tries to obtain the torque of motor shaft. It is the purpose of this paper to present such a new technique for estimating the loaded torque of DC motor shaft by using Fuzzy PID controller. Here, the load torque was created by magneto-rheological (MR) brake. The velocity of system is fed back by an incremental encoder. Then, a fuzzy PID controller is combined with an optimized model of DC motor to estimate the loaded torque of the system. Experimental results proved that this estimation method can predict the loaded torque with high accuracy. Thus, this technique is available for real industrial applications.
