Abstract
The paper designs a novel sliding-mode variable structure controller of fin stabilizer, to revolve the worse robustness of conventional PID controller to natural roll period and roll decay modulus. The novel controller has stronger resistibility to parameters disturbance, improves robustness of servo system and the static character of system. Theory analysis and simulation experiment approve the electric servo system of fin stabilizer based on the novel controller is able to suppress system parameters disturbance, and obtain better stabilizing effect
