  • Abstract
This paper concerns with the control of intensity and direction of light for the purpose of saving electrical energy. This work presents a strategy by virtue of which a user can vary position of light and amount of light with the help of a cell phone. The main issue with current lighting schemes is that they do not have a provision for saving energy. Moreover, these schemes do not focus light on the target. Instead, light gets spread all over. The idea is to control the intensity and direction of light in a room. It can be implemented by using an array of ultra bright Luxeon LEDs, microcontroller, power converter, mechanical slider type control, Bluetooth module and Android Mobile App.
