  • Abstract
The coordination of FACTS devices and stabilizers can be utilized for better dynamic stability of the power system. In this paper, the effectiveness of UPFC and Power System Stabilizer in simultaneous coordination is investigated to manage the low frequency oscillations in a single machine and multimachine power system. The proposed controller of PSS and POD of UPFC are tuned to overcome disturbances caused due to faults in the power system. The proposed system is studied for single machine and multi-machine system and found effective for enhancing the dynamic stability of system. The simulations have been carried out in time domain frame.
