Abstract
Harmonics and Reactive current in transmission line causes additional transmission losses in the line. To mitigate this problem, Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) is presented for the compensation of harmonics and reactive power with balanced and unbalanced non linear load. In this paper two control topology such as conventional control scheme and instantaneous reactive power theory are presented. Finally, a comparative analysis is made based on the simulation results.
