Abstract :
The active rack isolation system is a rack-level vibration isolation system aboard the International Space Station. A stringent isolation performance target, in conjunction with constraints imposed on the control design by model uncertainty and system noise make for a challenging control problem. In this paper the key control design constraints are introduced. H∞ methods are used to design multivariable controllers that achieve robust vibration attenuation
