Abstract :
In operation, software-intensive projects (SIPs), particularly command, control and communications information systems are faced not only with a dynamic environment but also with a variety of situations, the nature of which cannot always be known beforehand. Requirements, therefore, are generally only an approximation of what is really needed if only the problem were better understood. This paper reviews the changes to the MOD´s acquisition procedures which have recently been introduced following the categorisation of SIPs as inherently high risk projects
