Abstract
The development of ion linacs with superconducting solenoid focusing IS underway to increase the beam current. An experimental proton linac has been constructed, the 1. 5-MeV, 0.4-A beam has been obtained. A conceptual design of a cw accelerator that may be used for current drive in ITER is presented.
