Abstract :
A Level shifted PWM Control string source Multi level inverter (CSS MLI) is newly proposed concept for highly effective operation and reducing switches, cost. In this paper, D.C source connected with controlled switch by level shifted PWM technique, this connected across an anti-parallel diode. Such controlled sources placed in series. When compared to conventional seven-level MLI with proposed MLI, which required six switches. A single phase control string source MLI connected to single phase asynchronous motor (capacitor start-capacitor run model) via LC filter for performance of inverter operation and functioning of motor. Here level shifted PWM technique used for string source switches (S1 & S2) and for H-bridge switches pulses are used (S´1, S´2, S´3 & S´4). When compare to conventional, this proposed concept required half of the switches; Therefore it is simple, robustness, compact size, low cost and effective operation. The proposed concept simulated and output results are analyzed by MATLAB/SIMULINK.
