Abstract
This paper deals with the circuit representation of the effects of an asymmetrical three-phase load on the generation of the common-mode current in a motor drive system. Load asymmetry is due to parasitic capacitances included, for example, in the high frequency model of motor coils. The derived circuit models can be effectively used for electromagnetic compatibility analysis to get both theoretical insight and numerical efficiency.
