Abstract :
Practical SAW retiming filters for 2.488 Gbps optical transmission system have been fabricated with new material systems of SiO2/ZnO/IDT/diamond and SiO2/IDT/ZnO/diamond using CVD (chemical vapor deposition) diamond films. The filter characteristics exceed those of conventional ones made of quartz with smaller frequency deviation on temperature, smaller insertion loss and smaller device size
