Abstract :
Process and facility on-line monitoring and diagnostic technologies have been developed and deployed in China Steel Corp. (CSC). It has proven itself to assist operators to prevent or alleviate process instability by grasping all key information in time. Some case studies in iron-making, iron-ore sintering, and hot strip rolling process are demonstrated to show that various sensing technologies and IT tools have been well applied to solve process or quality-oriented issues successfully.
