Abstract :
A robust wavelength-scanning interferometer is developed by combining a channeled spectroscopic polarization state generator (CSPSG) and a Polari metric common-path cyclical interferometer. Unlike standard configurations of wavelength-scanning interferometers, the present configuration requires no spatially separated optical paths to introduce the phase- or frequency-shift due to the wavelength scanning, and hence it is almost immune to mechanical vibration. In addition, the self-calibration technique associated with the CSPSG allows us to effectively compensate the fluctuation due to temperature change.
