Abstract :
The technical characteristic of smart grid is the realization of Information, digitization, automation and interaction. The relay equipments of intelligent substation are important components of smart grid, under the “four basic requirements of qualities” (sensitivity, selectivity, speed and reliability), its configuration is divided into two layers: process level and substation level. The process level is individually to set the protection configuration according to the primary equipments, and it can be placed near the primary equipments. In the end it will unit with the primary equipments together as one, and the protection will adopts distributed configuration; the substation level will be equipped with centralized back-up protection, which adopts self-adaptive and on-line real-time self-tuning technology.
