Abstract :
In this paper we present a reliable rendezvous scheme based on implementation of duty-cycling technique. The proposed scheme provides fast detection of new appended nodes and their synchronous wake-up times in fully decentralized way. Taking into account working parameters, such as switching time, beacon time, duty cycling factor, and quartz oscillator instability, by using the proposed method, we determined the maximal number of active sensor nodes, and their optimal beacon periods, when the SNs operates under harsh environment conditions.
