Performance evaluation of the modified binary countdown scheme considering the priority of packet

The Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) system is focused in the wide-scale disaster, the fire disaster, etc. In these system using MANET, the performance of the media access control scheme is important. The information of these system include the high-priority data and the low-priority data. In this paper, the modified binary countdown scheme considering the priority of packet. By changing the priority code and the selection method according to the priority of packet, the performance is improved. As the results, by increasing the number of slots and the number of priority codes, the efficiency of this scheme can be improved.
