Abstract :
Aim at high resolution spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system, a novel mathematical model of slant range between scatter and radar is established that is different from tradition hyperbolic range model. While the distance measurement between scatter and satellite has an important role for high resolution. On the basis, effect of different orbit determination methods and their accuracy is discussed and analyzed. The effectiveness of the slant range model is validated by the computer simulations and the simulations of the effects of different orbit determination method are performed. The novel model of slant range will provide the foundation on the future field of high resolution SAR system.
