Abstract :
The problem of off-grid targets is considered in frequency diverse multiple-input multiple-output (FD-MIMO) radar system. To obtain high range and angle resolution, this paper presents a modified 2-D matrix enhancement and matrix pencil (2-D MEMP) method for simultaneously estimating the frequency pairs in the signal, according to the theories of Xampling and the finite rate of innovation (FRI). Compared with traditional/modifid compressed sensing (CS) imaging methods, the proposed technique does not need to divide the image scene into discretized grids at the very beginning, and is well suited for practical situation when off-grid targets are likely to exist. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the performance improvement of the proposed method.
