Abstract :
Three-dimensional electromagnetic resonance calculations have been performed for a microwave rectangular cavity loaded by an inhomogeneous dielectric sample. These calculations have been made by using the Transmission-Line Modelling (TLM) method. The modelling process is described and the obtained numerical results, for the case of a dielectric sample placed on the bottom of the cavity, are verified in comparison with the results calculated by Mladenovic et al. [1991]. Also, the TLM method is applied to the more real case when the inhomogeneous dielectric sample is raised above the cavity floor and the corresponding numerical results are presented and discussed
