The corrosion of reinforced bar in reinforced concrete structure is the major factor for durability degradation of the structure, while the critical corrosive ratio is important for durability analysis when concrete protective layer been expanding cracked by corrosion. The fracture mechanics numerical simulation tool has been used to study the critical corrosive ratio in this paper and the protective layer of concrete thickness, diameter and location of reinforced bar, stirrup area have been considered. The simulation results have been compared with those of accelerated corrosive experiment, both of them have been shown in good agreement.
