Abstract
Series-parallel centrifugal pumps, which have two conditions of low pressure and high pressure, play an important role in ship engineering, thus the research of its internal flow mechanism is of great significance. In this paper, the author gave a brief introduction to the structure of a series-parallel structure centrifugal. By using speed coefficient method, main geometric parameters of the impeller vanes were obtained. By comparing results of experiment and simulation of different turbulence models, RNG k-e model was chosen. At first, this paper gives an analysis of turbulent kinetic energy distribution and speed vector; secondly, impeller and suction chamber indicates that the switching between the two working conditions mainly affects the secondary impeller flow characteristics.
