  • Abstract
Experiments were conducted on liquid falling film flow in a vertical tube with different liquid physical properties and a falling film heat exchange tube selection method was proposed. In this method, a non dimensional parameter is proposed to prove film quality, which is determined by the viscosity, surface tension, velocity of the liquid and the tube inner diameter. A more stable flow and a more uniform film can be observed when the parameter ranges are in 8.8 × 10-2-10.2 × 10-2. The engineering application of the method is also carried out under current research. The feasibility of the method is verified on engineering application and can serve as reference for engineering design.
