  • Abstract
    SERCOS-II is the international standard on the second generation serial communication protocol for real-time data communication among the controller and actuators such as motor drivers, PLC, IO terminals, sensors for automation equipments, with the advantage of openness, compatibility, high speed, reliability and so on. Based on studying on the SERCOS-II protocol and ARM embedded control technology, presents one kind of SERCOS-II high speed communication system design proposal and discusses the technical implement details of hardware and software. It is shown that the communication system can control six servo units synchronously within 0.5ms control cycle at 16Mbits/s communication rate.
