  • Abstract
    With proposing active compensation, it is necessary to reduce the active part rating of active compensation. Two types of active compensation and their active part rating are presented and analyzed. Four hybrid active compensations for electrification railway are formulated after analyzing the topology of active compensation. Active part rating formulas of these hybrid active compensations are deduced. The active part rating and the voltage rate are analyzed and compared. The analysis in this work indicates the topologies are reasonable and they can reduce the active part rating of the hybrid active compensation topology.
