Abstract :
In this paper, a fast and accurate bulk pickup algorithm based on viewport space is presented. The key point of the algorithm is determine the range of user-selected grid by classic ray picking method, then use the characteristics of grid data to judge pick up. To realize the algorithm with VTK(Visualization Toolkit) and analysis in the respects of feasible scope, pickup accuracy and speed, the results show that it simple and highly reliability. It has been incorporated in the actual project after optimization of the algorithm and works well.
