Abstract
We believe we report the first demonstration of a magnetically tunable fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and show a wavelength switching time of 2 ms. The center wavelength is shifted over 4 nm without introducing any discernable amplitude or phase distortion, confirmed by 10-Gbit/s system measurements.
