Abstract :
The paper summarizes the test requirements for the product conformance testing of radio telecommunication devices such as mobile phones or base stations. With the emphasis on the European regulation and on the basis of the essential requirements in the EMC and R&TTE directives an overview of the standards related to safety, EMC and the effective use of the radio spectrum is given. In addition the connection between IMT-200 test requirements and the European harmonized standards is shown.
