Abstract :
In the case of MIMO systems, coprime factorizations are usually obtained by using the state-space approach [3] which leads to factorizations of higher McMillan degree than necessary. In the present paper, we utilize the geometric factorization theory of BGK [2] to propose a procedure for obtaining coprime factorizations which have minimal McMillan degree.
