In this paper, based on a life model, vegetation coverage is simulated with different external conditions including vegetation mortality, soil degeneracy and vegetation growth power. The results indicate that an aired ecosystem also has a feedback system, where the vegetation cover is relatively stable unless the environmental change is sufficiently great. The increase of vegetation mortality and soil degeneracy will result in more area with sand. When increasing the nutrient flow, the system can slowly recover. The simulation also suggests that recovery of the system is more difficult than its degeneracy.
